Engaged (with rain)
"Taylor, would you spend the next 5 days with me, watching it rain in Oklahoma?"
Ahhh, how sweet? Hey, I have a wife and two teenage daughters. This post was
inevitable! I mean, nobody is asking me to post any Hanson memes, but I just go
with the flow.
MMMRain would be good. Or maybe not.
Regardless, a lotta wotta (Ticker to English translation: a lot of water) has
fallen over the last 4 days, with some noted absences across NE and SW OK. We
hope to paint the NE part of the state in with some of that rainfall coming up.
It does look like SW OK might be left out of the good stuff, but still lots of
time to shift that forecast rainfall around. Spreading it would be better. I
should know, because folks tell me I can spread the manure around pretty thick.
So at least through Friday, we should keep those rain chances up around
parts of the state. Temperatures will start to rebound today and tomorrow,
giving us a full blast for one more day of summer on Thursday, before another
big August cold front comes through with fall-like temps and those additional
rain chances.
We once again saw near-record low temperatures across NE OK this morning, just
as we saw record low maximumumum (high temps, now with more um's) temperatures
for the second straight day yesterday.
In fact, those 63s at Cheyenne, Eva, and Hooker
And we could see some record-low high temps fall again today, if'n we're lucky.
For those jonesing for another dose of summer...REAL summer, drive to SW OK
tomorrow and you might get an actual triple-digit temperature.
Too soon? Well, don't be sad because we go back to fall on Friday.
And yes, chances are you CAN get used to this!
