NOOOOOah

Right now drought's saying "HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW?"

Hey, there's a song in that! Anyway, northwestern OK is probably saying "NOT AT
ALL" in return. Crazy how soooo much rainfall has fallen across the southeastern
5/6ths (I was told there would be no math, especially no trigonometry) of the
state, but that's what we're seeing.

In fact, are you ready, are you ready for this, are you hanging on the edge of
your seat?

Far NW OK and the Panhandle's (yes, they are two separate things, down-staters)
lack of moisture is the only thing keeping this April from shattering the
previous statewide rainfall record for April of 8.32" from 1942. We're in
second place right now with 8.08 inches, having just overtaken April 1957's
8.04". A few more deluges today and we might make it.

Heck, we're deluging right now for crying out loud!

This is all made crazier due to a virtual LACK of rainfall from April 7 through
the 17th, and again on the 21st and 27th. So this is largely a 17-day affair.

So when will it stop? Maybe around midnight it appears, or sometime thereafter.
Then it starts back again for May on Friday.

"How Do You Like Me Now (Oklahoma Flood Edition)"
(To the tune of “How Do You Like Me Now?!” by Toby Keith)

Yeah, I heard the rain came pourin’ down,
From Seiling all the way to Broken Bow town.
You prayed for mercy just a month ago,
Now you're paddlin’ cattle through the wheat you sowed.

You laughed when I dried up your lakes and streams,
Now your pond's a sea and your streets are dreams.
You thought I'd left, you let down your guard,
But baby, Mother Nature still deals the cards!

How do you like me now?!
Now that you're soggy and plowed?
You kicked me out with El Niño's grace,
But now you got ducks swimmin’ in your parking space.
You begged for rain, well, look who's drownin’ now—
How do you like me now?!
