Is this a trick question?

Sure, we could definitely see "above normal" precip next week...the trick is in
the "normal," right? Trust me, I know normal ("know," as in I see it in other
people, but I ain't it!). The kicker here is normal rainfall totals for that time
frame next week are generally less than a quarter-inch. So sure, we could
definitely see "above normal" rainfall, but that doesn't necessarily mean any
sort of drought-busters on our way.

Wow! That was quite the word salad just to come up with this!

That just covers Saturday and Sunday, of course, but that gets us out to the
magical 7-day forecast period, I shan't attempt to go past into fantasy-cast
territory just yet, but I will say next week looks to be a bit on the gray,
watery side (like your Mother-in-law's Thanksgiving gravy!) right up until
Thanksgiving Day or so, but that could and probably will change in a hurry.

What we DO know and are pretty sure of is good weather for most of the rest of
this week with above normal temps and lots of sunshine.

"Good" is relative, of course. If you're in some of these areas that have gone
up to 2 months with no significant precipitation, the coming week is gonna be
lousy.

I see no big globs of Arctic air headed this way anytime soon, or gig blobs,
or even glib bobs, so enjoy the lack of Winter whilst you can!
