It was NOT a good day




"How do you feel, Oklahoma?"

Yeah, the answer above is pretty apt, given that a lot of us are living in an
ice-encrusted winter horrorland. It could have been worse, just like my making
up the word "horrorland," but that doesn't really help right now. We're currently
in our second wave of sleet and freezing rain, but at least we're not seeing
the convective elements we saw yesterday (or hearing it, for that matter).

Oh wait, I guess we ARE seeing more thundersleet and thunderfreezingrain
(wowIreallylikethisnewfadofsqueesingwordstogether!), it's just not happening where
I'm at so it doesn't count. I am your State Climate-narcissist after all.

Okay, need to hurry before all my "currents" become dated. So our current trip
to the ice box has lasted more than two days thus far, and probably headed for
a third today before *MAYBE* eeking above freezing tomorrow for a bit.





The frozen precip should exit the state later today and ramp up again tomorrow
with maybe a mixture of rain and freezing rain at times. Many areas are due
for a quarter-inch of ice or so through Thursday morning, possibly.











Temperatures warm up rapidly after all this mess, and pretty much stay that
way for another week or so.



Now if somebody would close the freezer door...
