Huh??

Okay, I have no idea what's going on with the weather. Aha, nice try! Before you
zing me, this is DIFFERENT than the rest of the time when I know what's going on,
I just don't know whats going on. Errrr, what I'm trying to say is this is just
a really weird weather pattern for December. So lots of chances for rain over the
next week or so with lots of moisture wrapping around high pressure in S Texas
and swinging up this way from the SW.

I know, right?

So anytime we get some impetus for rain, there will be moisture. Shoot, it's
drizzling right now for gosh sakes! (Sorry, I save my "for crying out loud"s
for actual rain).

There won't be any snow through the period, even though we're getting deeper
into December. There's just too much warm-ish air around at the surface and the
mid-levels to allow us any frozen fun like that. Now we will see a couple of
cold fronts, the first one tonight, then another mid-week, the latter of which
could produce some freezing rain up in N OK, but not like a huge cataclysmic
ice storm since it will still quickly warm up above freezing.

To me it's just very bland weather to me, to me. But, we definitely need the
rain, but we do need some of that 2-4 inches to spread up into the NW half of
the state, where the longer-term deficits still dominate.

Even the long-term outlooks are sort of "meh."

Do you really want just "near normal?" I mean, come on, you ARE reading the
Ticker, after all. Well, there is some snow starting to populate the model
output way out in fantasy-cast territory about 10-15 days out, so we can
keep an eye on that.

Until then, enjoy whatever this is!
