Meh?
OH NO, not another snowstorm! Winter has officially gotten old. I know I resemble
that remark, but I'm not as widely reviled as winter is at this point. Oh I know
I'm widely reviled...I hear the talk! I said "not AS widely reviled." Speaking
of revulsion (I aren't an English major, not sure if that works there), we do
have another bout of winter coming our way starting tonight in NW OK that then
spreads throughout the state through Friday. Our Braum's DEF-CON map is rather
bland with only a DEF-CON Level 3 standing out, but that's for 2-4 inches of snow
up in the north. Farther south where maybe an inch or 2 falls we named a DEF-CON
Level 4 because there could also be some ice involved. At this point, you should
know if you can get out and about in snow, but add a tiny bit of ice and things
get hairy (I HEARD THAT!).
All in all, not a terribly impactful winter storm, but enough to cause traffic
disruptions for a day or so. Luckily, this should melt off pretty quickly with
temperatures once again rising into the 40s, 50s and then 60s/70s as we go
through the weekend.
It's gonna get COLD though. I mean teeth-chattering cold. I mean bone-rattling
cold. I mean (some random body part)-hyphen-(some violent verb) cold. Yeah,
not so easy, is it?
Yeah, that's pretty cold for March. But the same period back in 1948? Now
THAT is pretty cold for March, February, January, December, ect.
Again, the snow for THIS week will be a distant memory by Sunday, when we
re-enter spring. Hopefully for good!
