Winter got back
Crying? There's no crying in winter! The tears would freeze to your cheeks. Not
sure what a "Yellowstone"/"Game of Their Own" mash up would look like, but I bet
you'd never try and leave the team!
So we had yet another cold front overnight that's gonna keep us firmly in winter
territory for today...you know, Oklahoma winter territory. Not so bad, not too
good either. But the biggie comes tonight. This will be true arctic air, the type
we saw on New Year's Day and just a bit beyond. No chance of all the snow and
freezing rain and such...maybe a few flurries up north.
With the wind chill advisory in place for wind chill values firmly centered around
the 0 degrees mark, give or take 15 degrees, depending on where you are, I guess
we don't really need to be too concerned for the actual air temperatures as much.
Unless you like frozen pipes and whatnot. Tomorrows highs and lows are well below
normal for this time of year.
If'n you're looking for more of that December-type weather (I know...odd, right?),
you're going to have to wait until Saturday when we vault back up into the
60s and 70s. No 80s? BALDERDASH!
Different from December, it looks like we will spend more time now in the
40s and 50s for awhile, with just occasional bouts into the 60s and 70s. December
we were more likely to be in the 70s and 80s, with occasional bouts into the
40s and 50s. Ahhhh, December. How I miss it already.
20s for highs...something to look forward to? No. We need 20 inches of rain
more than we do 20 degrees.
