Marvin the LIAR
Okay, here's the deal, see...we are going to get a cool front next week, see...but
it's still gonna be hot, see. Well, I figured if I wrote that like Edward G.
Robinson (young folks,Google it), it would prevent any cursing from you later.
It's hard to be intimidating with just text, I guess.
Let's try again. We will see a cool front move through sometime probably on late
Tuesday. So if we're seeing a cold front on the 14th, why does the above figure
look like the 15th through the 19th still look solidly like it's gonna be
above normal in temperature? Because the supposed "cool" front is only going to
"cool" things down to close to normal, and then it's gonna go quickly back to
above normal territory.
(I'll wait...and nice job, I kiss my Mom with these ears).
So I see from our friends at the Norman NWS office that they have temperatures,
at least in their warning area, down into the upper 80s. Well as it turns out,
that's just about normal for this time of year. So merely dipping down close to
normal for a day doesn't translate to a move to fall for any period of time.
Amarillo shows us the same thing out in the Panhandle.
I guess it will feel much cooler after our blazing hot weekend, but let's not
break out the sweaters just yet. One other thing...that rain we promis...errrr,
said MIGHT happen? Well, let's dial that back a bit, too.
WHOA! Hey, I don't write the computer forecast models, pal. I just get you
excited about them then dash your hopes later on. Okay, I see your point. Go
ahead and flame away.
Speaking of flames, how about that weekend...
