Oklahoma's Big Adventure




HA! It worked. You folks probably just think it was a bad forecast, saying summer
is done for 2021, when actually I was just trying to jinx Mother Nature into
giving us some heat more fitting to Oklahoma's summer standards.

No, really. Have I ever steered you wrong? Wasn't it me that convinced you to go
check out the basement in the Alamo?

At any rate, I thought it was decently hot the last few days, but nothing
unusually so for later into July, but for this year...not too bad, at least until
you add in the humidity and the sun (check out yesterday's temperature and heat
risk maps).







And hear (I meant to do that) you can see where despite recent heat, we're still
behind what we would expect to see, at least occasionally, for this part of
summer.



But regardless of what the maps and graphs show, it HAS been hot (and I mean
REALLY hot) here and there in select locations. You have to pay for those
summer rains eventually. It would appear we are in for a drying out phase as we
go through the next couple of weeks, maybe. We will have a chance of showers
and storms, but really looking like we can tone down the rain and hopefully
mosquitoes!





For the next few days, at least, what is commonly known in the, uhhhhhh,
common vernacular, some fantastically splendid days with pleasant temps and
lower humidity.







Now, I bet I don't win the $226 million mega-jackpot lottery.
