The Panhandle Stands Alone
Well you can see from the amalgam of graphics there that we are still making
progress against the scourge of drought in Oklahoma, but the western Panhandle
still has a bit of work to do. So much for the worries about La Nina this winter.
Oh, we still have a ways to go with our usually not-so-friendly pal in the
equatorial Pacific, but just look at the last 30 days--what a bounty for January!
(Bounty, it's the quicker picker-upper)!
So for at least that last 30-day period, some of the wettest weather on record;
or top-10 since 1921, at least. All except for the Panhandle, which continues
to languish in the drier weather. As we look down the road, there is a bit of
hope for out west, but nothing major just yet over the next 7 days.
Maybe we will see things pick up a bit more when we get later into next week.
