Snowless Human League
What? WHAT! That's not a normal snowfall pattern that we see in the Southern
Plains? That deep-diving storm managed to give most of Oklahoma a cold and misty
dank, gray day. There was a bit of snow across western OK and the Panhandle, maybe
an inch or two; nothing like the 6-12 inches of snow that fell down in CenTex,
up into the ArkLaTex region. There was a dusting along the Red River as well, so
those folks finally got a taste--albeit minor--of winter. Maybe Mother Nature
just felt sorry for the far southern folks, given the snowstorms we've seen
already this season. Still odd though, with northern Louisiana having more snow
this year than northeastern Oklahoma!
Anyway, back to reality. This week expect lots of sun and a warm up through
Thursday, then another front (with lots of wind on both sides) will take us
back down to full-on winter for another little bit.
Wednesday will probably be your day. Thursday will be a bit warmer, but windier
as well.
I hesitate to make a guess after that. Mother Nature has shook up and turned
us around. Once you make a forecast, it's much too late to find, you think you
changed your forecast. You'd better change it back or we will both be sorry!
I was never working as a waitress in a cocktail bar, however. That much is true.
