Darn it

Yeah, tomorrow is not much of an outdoor day. Thanks to another strong cold front,
we're gonna have some indoor time for about 24-36 hours. Don't worry, there is
heat at the end of the tunnel, but we're going to have to get by Friday and
then Saturday morning before we start to see spring roar back. There will be
a chance of rain with that front, starting tonight and then a smaller chance
tomorrow, but I'm afraid that will not be much for those that need it.

Those with the most need would be in the western Panhandle, where moderate to
severe drouth still plagues that part of the state with origins back into
October.

Heck, it's been 96 days since those folks have even seen a rain of at least a
quarter-inch!

Let's go back to that tunnel. Following this weekend's cool down, we should see
an acceleration back to spring, with highs in the 70s and 80s. Some 90s will
pop up here and there as well.

Going forward, this won't be our last cold front. Many of us have *PROBABLY*
seen our last freeze. I say *PROBABLY* (you can see it right there...I even
put asteri...asterix...asterixes...STARS around it) because there will be a
diminishing chance that another strong front could slip into the forecasts
in the next couple of weeks that brings another widespread freeze. I don't
think that will happen, but I know the northwest is likely to see one Saturday
morning. At least in the Panhandle.

Spring will soon be here. Then the day after that, summer arrives for 8 months,
then we see winter again for 3 days. Rinse, repeat.
