Don't sweat it




You know it was bound to happen. As we get later into spring and the sun starts
to take charge, we just needed a bit of favorable wind to get us up into early
summer category. Now many might not have voted for this burst of summer possibly
coming on Thursday, but it will be a welcome change from the gray, dank days we've
seen for the better part of the last week. We still have one to go, although we
should see some sun today. A big warm up through mid-week as winds shift a bit
more westerly, giving us a downslope component and a bit of compressional heating
to add to the sun's magic. Highs could reach into the 90s in southwest OK on
Thursday. Wednesday morning is the cold period, but even then we're talking lows
in the 40s, mostly.











There's a chance of severe storms tonight in northern and northeastern OK as
a low pressure system rotates through, paving the way for our warm up.







No real tornado threat with this one, more of a wind/hail event if it does
materialize. Although we should remember that severe storms can produce
tornadoes even in benign settings, but that chance with these is exceedingly
low. Another chance for storms with a cold front (BOOOO!!!) Thursday night
into Friday, and a cool down for the weekend. Again, BOOOO!!!

Not a lot of rain forecast with these storm chances.



Could see another good warm up after that.
