Totally awesome!
NO! No Led Zeppelin IV! And also no linguine with clam sauce. We're just talking
weather here. AND we like ice in our coke, thank you. Anyway, if you like the
weather we've been having, enjoy it whilst you can because after tomorrow, we're
going to enter spring break weather in Oklahoma. That means normal to below
normal temperatures and lots of rain. And for the Panhandle, that means some
wintry stuff as well. And the awesomeness (TOTALLY AWESOME!!) of our weather
has been undeniable, from the 60s and 70s yesterday to the 70s and 80s of today
and tomorrow.
And let's not forget about our warm mornings. For parts of southern and central
Oklahoma, we even broke a few records for highest low temperatures (as opposed
to lowest high temperatures, or highest high temperatures, or lowest low
temperatures, or average average temperatures...that about cover it?) yesterday.
So we get the cold front Thursday night, and with that a week and possibly
longer of elevated rain chances.
But let's not stop there, how about we ask a big old trough of low pressure
move in from the west next week and muddy up out spring break? Done. Well,
the outlook is done. The weather has to follow the script.
Yes, all of this is part of spring in Oklahoma. With luck, the rain will foster
up a quick green up and help prevent some of those wildfire days we've seen
this past week. The rain chances and higher humidity values definitely will,
so we can put up with a bit more early spring on our way to real spring.
But we really need Mother Nature to make a rule about gray weather during
spring break, because if we don't get some cool rules ourselves - pronto - we'll
just be bogus too! Get it?
