I want to be a dentist

Hey, nothing wrong with old Heat Miser on a cold winter morning. Just be glad I
didn't throw Burgermeister Meisterburger into the mix, because that guy was a
real killjoy. Speaking of killjoys, Mother Nature ain't gonna cooperate this
Christmas, much like most Christmases around these parts. It's gonna be a
somewhat-brownish/yellow Christmas for us, with a hint of fire danger. The
CPC medium-range outlook tells the story, with greatly increased odds of above
normal temperatures centered smack dab on Oklahoma -- and Christmas. It might be
a chance for some sort of moisture, however, later in that period.

Nothing wrong with some nice weather leading up to the holiday, but I think most
of us do yearn for that classic look of snow when we wake up Christmas morning.
Heck, at this point just a decent frost will do. Mornings like this one,
however, when the masses have to get out and about to go to work, will make
those forecast highs in the 60s very enticing, Normal Rockwellian Christmas
morning fantasies or not. We start today on our slow warm up to next week's
mild Christmas weather.

But it won't be the warmest Christmas in Oklahoma. That prize goes to 1955.

Nor will it be the coldest. 1983. 'Nuf said.

And, in all likelihood, it won't be the wettest.

Could be the driest. Tied with nearly every other Christmas in Oklahoma, of
course. And as we've beaten worse than a dead horse by now, the point remains
it won't be the snowiest either. For the main body of the state, that would be
the Christmas Eve blizzard of 2009 (was technically snowy on Christmas as
well!).

Southern Oklahoma says "Wait a minute. Hold my eggnog." Their tops would be
1975 when 8-12 inches fell in some areas. Pretty impressive for down south!

Just remember...I ain't the Grinch! Go talk to Mother Nature about that one.
