Can we just not?


Well last night was interesting, and that's all I'm gonna say about that. Other
than this. Lots of severe weather occurred across central and eastern Oklahoma,
spurred forward by a cold front that barreled through the state throughout the
day yesterday. Here you can see the local storm reports gathered by the
Storm Prediction Center. Lots of wind and hail reports. Possibly a tornado or
two thrown in there. We'll know more about that once the NWS offices go out and
investigate damaged areas to see if it was indeed tornadic winds, or just the
straight-line variety.



The Mesonet captured lots of strong-to-severe winds, both associated with those
severe thunderstorms and not.



Now we'll deal with the aftermath...lots of really nice weather until our next
cold front. That should arrive sometime Wednesday night into Thursday, with
another chance of rain and a big lapse back into late-fall/early-winter type
weather.





You warm weather fans like myself, don't get too used to extended periods of
above normal temperatures (aka "nice weather"). Our old nemesis winter is
coming for another visit, it would seem. Check out the temperature outlooks for
next week. Yes, we're crying too.





Ugh is right. That would seem to indicate -- what with it's increased odds of
below normal temperatures -- that another big front is in line for next week.
