Just a smidgen
Darned near everybody has gotten some rain in the last week. Some more than
others. Heck, some WAY more than others. We see you, Vinita and Nowata. In this
case, Vinita and Lottawata. However, we're extremely disappointed, Cloudy, Hugo
and Lane. Or in this case, Sunny, Hu-no-rain, and Lame. Can't you join the team
for the big win. All kidding aside, southeastern Oklahoma is starting to need
rain even more than some parts of western Oklahoma. Their ecosystem is accustomed
to more moisture than the rest of the state, especially during the growing season.
There will be a chance of rain. Looks more like northern Oklahoma, again along
the northern edge of that ridge of high pressure aloft. Should see some showers
and storms over the next couple of days. It could surprise us and head farther
south. But, still need more.
That next hot, dry spell is just around the corner.
Ain't it always?
