Flout

Floods and drought = flout?? How about droods? How about JINX! But in this
case, maybe a good thing (except for the flooding).

I was trying to type up the drought report earlier but it got so dark here I
couldn't see the keys. Check out the Norman meteogram's solar radiation trace.
There was a blip of daylight there earlier, not much after that.

It got so bad I started reading Revelations just in case. Spoiler alert, I'm still
here...what's that mean?? At any rate, if you want to get heavy rain, just release
the newest Drought Monitor. Here it is...obviously ONCE AGAIN DATED already, at
least fro Alfalfa County to the east and south.

The changes were fairly simple...some improvements across the west, but also some
intensification across south and eastern OK.

The improvements weren't quite as extensive as we had hoped, but then again
we had no idea we'd be dealing with the warmest May on record, and a pretty
darned hot start to June. All that extra heat adds to evaporation and creates
more stress on the water cycle.

The rain chances aren't over out west, so don't count their opportunities for
more improvement just yet. Maybe a bit tomorrow too.

There will be a chance for severe storms out west today, so stay weather aware.

That's all we have for today. We're still in for hot and steamy for the
foreseeable future. Just remember, I wear pretty thick glasses.
