One more day?

Wow, really pulling deep from the old internet meme files there. What's next,
Star Wars lightsaber kid? Well, it was time to celebrate the cool front Mother
Nature sent our way this weekend. We ended up with a really nice day yesterday,
reminiscent of spring days gone by (think...March?).

After today's near-repeat performance, according to the forecast, we're gonna be
on the uphill slide to brutal again, with highs in the 90s and 100s, and heat
index values adding 5-10 degrees to that. Take Thursday, for instance. Those
highs don't look so bad, but again the moisture in the air is not taken into
account. Besides that, those values are still 5-15 degrees above normal for this
time of year.

The NWS Norman office gives you an idea of what to expect the rest of the week,
the the Climate Prediction Center lets you know...get used to it!

There will be a chance of rain today, and maybe a severe storm or two. Nothing
major, but if you get a bit of rain, enjoy it.

Now for those worried about 2018 looking like 2011...not quite there yet with
the most extreme temperatures (i.e., triple-digits). We're ahead on the 90s,
though.
