This is spring?
First off, when you google images for a frozen bunny, you get millions of hits for
that stupid rabbit Olaf! That movie will haunt us 'til the end of our days. But
with Easter a mere four days away, I guess I expected more than to walk out on
a late March morning and get blasted with winter-like air. Okay, it just feels
like it's in the 40s, but that makes me feel like I'm in my 70s. And the display
of indifference towards the northwestern half of the state Mother Nature put on
over the last few days borders on belligerence. Does this rainfall pattern look
familiar??
Ooh, almost a tenth of an inch right up the Northwest Corridor. How generous! Well
at least some parts of the southwest and north central Oklahoma flirted with the
half-inch mark. But the same sharp demarcation line that has haunted the state
for the last couple of months continues.
It is still raining (again, in the east for the most part)
public url:
and even better news...there are more rain chances tonight and tomorrow. Even
for northwestern Oklahoma!
It ain't gonna bust no drought, but it'll keep the fire danger down for a spell.
Unfortunately, looks like Easter is gonna be a cold, wet day. Now a lot of folks
need the moisture, but Saturday or Monday would have been better choices for
that weather. The rain chances will continue into next week, regardless.
So be sure and use some waterproof coloring on those eggs.
