It's Bigfoot Day!
Yes, it's that annual but futile ritual (no, not me looking at my hairline) where
we go down southeast around Durant (DOO-RANT for you out-of-staters) and search
for Bigfoot. Once we coax the big fella out, we check to see if he sees his
shadow. Personally I think he just gets online and looks at the CPC Drought
Outlook.
BUT, Bigfoot did see his shadow this morning, thus predicting 6 more weeks of
drought, at least. The 7-day precipitation forecast and the medium-range outlooks
certainly seem to back him up, at least for the next couple of weeks.
Others would say he's just thinking about persistence...it's been dry so long,
the climate pattern is just sort of "stuck" in that mode.
Let's let old Mr. Sasquatch go back to roost now.
By the way, he eats groundhogs for breakfast.
