Doldrums

Argh, that dreaded summer line come to life: "Is it hot enough fer ya?" Use it
often and lose friends, use it too little and get branded a lunatic. I prefer the
latter, so I'll just ask...is it hot enough fer ya? Like yesterday?

And, as I warned, that rain over the last month across eastern Oklahoma was
going to come around and bite them in the tail. What comes down must go back up
as water vapor, creating a hot sticky mess over that way.

As you can see from today's forecast highs in that first image above, expect more
of the same (HELLO, DOLDRUMS!), and more steamy conditions across eastern OK.

Very un-doldrumslike, however, is the chance of rain coming up over the weekend.
A very small chance, mind you, but a chance nevertheless. We're not talking
inches here, sadly, but 'tis enough to drop us down 5-10 degrees for a bit.

I've heard rumblings of the heat dome building back next week. The medium range
outlooks think otherwise.

Normal. Below normal. Above normal. Hey, it's all summer to me. About as
exciting as watching paint dry. Or a bilge pump.
