Inconceivable!!
Okay, why "The Princess Bride" again? Because PRINCESS BRIDE, that's why! Yes,
makes no sense, but when has that ever applied to the Ticker? We're just excited
to see some lessening of the temps. As much as we love warm weather, we don't
love the drought intensification that goes along with it. So when we see 7-day
planners like this (courtesy NWS Norman)
with the highs in the 60s and 70s and, more importantly, chances or rain, we feel
better. For instance, check out Sunday's forecast highs.
Now that's right about normal for this time of year. But check out the lows that
morning too.
Those are actually about 5+ degrees above normal. So as warm weather aficionados,
we can deal with the 60s as long as we don't drop into the 30s and 40s in the
morning.
The rain should start tonight this afternoon and work into the overnight hours
as a cold front moves through the area. Might be some crashing and booming
going on with some of the stronger storms, but nothing too bad for Oklahoma. The
7-day rainfall forecast shows at least the possibility of decent rains over
parts of the state. This should be used as a "fuzzy boundary" bit of guidance.
From the looks of the storm system, it would appear a few places will get
significant rain while others might be left out.
Heck, it's already raining up in the NW, generated by the front which is already
pushing through that area.
Let it rain, but also LET IT FALL.
