Fried turkey, whether you like it or not

Yes yes, Halloween's going to be hot. We know that. I covered how we'll probably
end up with one of the warmest Halloween's on record (but not THE warmest) in a
Ticker last week.

Remember, the Halloween of 1950 is what we're shooting for

and according to the high temp forecasts for today, we might get close! I've added
today's historical highs for locations around the state as well.

And the NWS has lots of good info as well.

So enough of that frightfully warm info. Let's move onto the next holiday.
Despite what Wal Mart would lead you to believe, it's not Christmas, but
Thanksgiving! As you can see from this 3-4 week outlook issued last Friday,
CPC sees increased odds of above normal temps AND below normal precip over
that time frame (Nov. 12-25).

Now that doesn't mean that daily or several days worth of fall (or even winter)
weather can't sneak in there, but to the best of their ability to forecast, it
does appear the warm, dry weather might stick around. Check out the 8-14 day
outlooks as well. Warm warm warm! And dry.

Will fall ever TRULY arrive, or are we headed straight to winter someday? I
have no idea. Those outlooks can flip around in a hurry. Rest assured there is
cold weather SOMEWHERE in the norther reaches of our hemisphere, and eventually
it will come down our way. But as of now, odds favor, if just a tad, a
continuation of the anti-Autumnal weather we've been seeing.

Good for cold weather haters, bad for drought. More on that later.
