Ring of fire

Yes, a gigantic faux pas...mixing the themes of "Ring of Fire" and the lesser-known
but superior "Boy Named Sue" from Johnny Cash. But a quite fitting description of
the weather we're faced with here in the doldrums of August. At least this week.
And that 7-day rainfall forecast says it all, outlining the heat dome that has
once again camped over the Southern Plains and Oklahoma.

So as we await some movement from the so-called "Death Ridge" (hey, Sue is as
good a name as any..."Death Ridge Harry?" I don't think so.), we will just have
to be patient and appreciate the Oklahoma summer. It's the season that puts the
gravel in your gut and the spit in your eye.
