Freezing Fog? Seriously?

Okay, I'm an infamous winter hater, I'll admit it. And a snow hater too. Hey,
haters gonna hate, right? But I've also always said if it's going to just be cold,
it might as well snow to liven things up. And now we have SNOW-MAGEDDON-LYPSE
2016 hitting the East Coast in the next couple of days with 2-3 feet of snow
expected, thanks mainly to a storm system passing through our area as we speak
from what I understand, AND ALL WE CAN GET IS A FREEZING FOG ADVISORY???

Freezing fog, the most boring of all winter weather advisories! And I'm a
climatologist, I know boring! Even all these exclamation points I'm using are
putting people to sleep since they're coming from me!!

I mean, seriously, look at the advisory map for the nation.

Winter storm watches and warnings, blizzard watches, even just plain old winter
weather advisories. The freezing fog advisory didn't even make the national
map! If this was a Three Stooges episode, this is what I'd look like (except
with even less hair).

And I am by no means asking for 2-3 feet of snow or blizzards. We've done that
before and all that brings is misery and disaster. Heck, even 4 inches of snow
can do that here in Oklahoma. But freezing fog? Come on. And you can lump the
worthless freezing drizzle right in there with it.

So that's what we have, chances for freezing fog, freezing drizzle, a cold
drizzle, very light snow and just a cold rain. Oh, and windy to go along with
the cold to seal the miserable deal for today.

At least Sunday is looking nice with highs in the 50s and 60s before another
cold front on Monday.

Even with that cold front, CPC forecasters look for warmer than normal weather
next week and drier too.

Still waiting on a big snow here across most of the state. Boise City has had
20 inches, Arnett 11 inches. Other than that, pretty paltry.

If it's not going to snow, give us 60s and 70s and move along, winter.

WOOP WOOP WOOP!!
