The Great State Rain of....OKLAHOMA!

First off, I'm not much for singing jingles, and worse at typing them. But it is
that time of year again when thoughts turn to people watching, fried stuff on a
stick, ferris wheels and dodging thunderstorms at the State Fair of Oklahoma. I
know it's been raining over the last 24 hours

and over the last week

heck, it's raining now!

But every Okie worth their salt knows that nothing says rain like the coming of
the State Fair. Checking out the graphics from the local NWS offices, sure enough,
after this bit of rain, Thursday the 17th (the opening day of the Fair) sees
rain chances going up again. And the arrival of a cold front over the weekend
means even greater chances.

Before we get there, however, it's gonna rain in places today

and be hot later on (look at Thursday's forecast highs, for instance)

We're not talking flooding rainfall here, but enough to get your turkey leg
all wet.

Twas ever thus, right?
