Let's pause for a brief intermission
As expected, the northern half of the state got a goodly amount of rain last
night and this morning, and in some cases, a bit too much. In fact, a certain
small town, also known as the most awesome place in the universe, had about
5 inches of rain in a couple of hours. That's right, Buffalo leads the state
in nearly all things, including rainfall on July 21, 2015.
Other places received from 2-4 inches of rain in a rather splatterized pattern
(I don't make up words like "splatterized," I invent them). And the rain ain't
over either. There is still some scattered about the state, with chances
continuing through tonight.
And the best news of all...it ain't as hot. We have 70s right now across the
northern half of the state, headed for low 80s, and even the heat index is giving
us a break for a day or two.
Oh, it's still toasty down along the Red River, approaching triple digits on the
old Sweat-O-Meter, but I didn't tell you to move down there.
It says 76 degrees in Buffalo. Just sayin'.
