Three-peat = no-peat?

Remember last week when I said we might see our third outbreak of fall-like
weather sometime later THIS week?

Yeah, apparently, that ain't gonna happen (THANKS A LOT CPC MEDIUM-RANGE
OUTLOOKS!). Those increased odds of below normal tempsfrom those outlooks for
August 6-10 have now turned into seasonal-to-above seasonal values, and the
chances for above normal precip have gone kersplat (that's a very scientific word
for "down the drain").

Remember, with those forecast highs you can generally add a couple or three
degrees on top for the heat index. So our third venture into fall does not
appear likely at the moment. CPC is at it again and now saying perhaps next
week.

All I can say is...fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, August.
