We are okay

I am writing this Ticker from my failing iPad one block south from sw 149th at our slightly damaged
but still intact home. Thanks to a NWS Norman graphic, I left early and got my son from daycare
(All About Kids, which was wiped to the foundation) and my daughters from their elementary
school (Oakridge).

My wife is an Assistant Principal at Southgate Elementary, which was just grazed by the damage
path. She is still unable to make it home. Here is a pic I took from a neighbor's bicycle
as I tried desperately to make it to her school to check on her (too much damage). She is fine,
Thank God. This is looking north from Santa Fe and SW 19th st.



I have pics of Briarwood Elementary that I will not show.

We are still here, we are still Ticking. God bless those that lost loved ones. We were lucky. We were
underground as the monster churned by one block north of us.

A personal thanks goes out to the personnel of the NWS office in Norman Oklahoma for
producing the graphic that possibly saved my son's life. And the rest of the NOAA folks that work
everyday to keep us safe from hazardous weather. The list goes on ... First responders,
Emergency managers, etc.

You are all heroes in my book.
