Wanted: Your Stories

I'm gonna break tradition and write this Ticker in the first
person today, because I'm asking for your help. As most of you
know, I'm a grad student again, this time in adult education.
Much of my research involves how people deal with and learn
about the world around them.

I am looking for people to interview about their experiences
during the Dust Bowl, specifically related to life and/or work
on the farm. If you know anybody with direct experience (lived or
worked on farm during the 1930s), or had a close relationship
(or documents of) someone who did, please contact me:

The advancements that this generation accomplished in short time
if quite remarkable, and their experiences can inform future
generations about coping and learning during times of profound
environmental changes.

Obviously, many of the folks who worked, learned and lived on the
farm during those times are no longer with us, which makes the
experiences of those who are with us that much more precious.

Thanks, and we will get back to the usual silliness next week!
