Welcome, Rain
The skies were a bit more generous during the last week than they
were during the previous Ticker hiatus. Parts of western Oklahoma
received well more than an inch during the week, which is always
a victory in August:
However, a repeated theme in summer Tickers is that summer precip
is often spotty in its coverage. That was the case last week, and
much of north-central Oklahoma still suffers from an increasing
water deficit:
Another repeated theme in the Ticker, and by Mother Nature, this
summer has been that summer precip often comes with a violent
