Heavy Rains Help Some Oklahomans
Some much-needed heavy rainfall occurred across the eastern third
of the state over the weekend. Weekend totals approaching five
inches are seen in Oklahoma Mesonet data. Here are selected weekend
totals. As is usual with summer precip, local amounts vary greatly:

Stuart 4.60" Hectorville 2.87" McAlester 2.16"
Okemah 4.17" Calvin 2.81" Sallisaw 2.07"
