Happy New Year
Welcome to the Year 2000. The Mesonet made it through the rollover
without any serious problems or data outages. All products should
be working normally on the user end.
Today's Winds
Very strong wind gusts behind a cold front have been occurring
throughout northwestern Oklahoma today. Several panhandle stations
have observed gusts over 50 mph, and Boise City had two gusts (60 mph
and 58 mph) exceed the threshold for severe thunderstorms. Wind chill
indices are currently below zero in much of the panhandle.
