Today, with a little help from several things, a temperature gradient
was (re)born across Oklahoma. How?
Start with a weak boundary, throw in some overnight rain:

Add a cloud shield:

And you get a large contrast in heating, as seen in the 24-hour
temperature change map:

The end result is something that resembles a front!
