Heavy Rainfall

At first glance at the Mesonet 24-hour rainfall totals,



the 1.91" value at Clayton may seem erroneous when compared to the many
zero-rain totals at its neighboring sites.  But the rainfall was, in fact,
a result of a remarkably stationary storm late yesterday afternoon.

6 - the number of stations reporting at least 0.25" rain 10 or more days
38 - the number of stations reporting at least 0.10" rain 10 or more days
58 - the number of stations reporting at least 100 F temp 10 or more days

0 - the number of stations reporting at least 0.25" rain 15 or more days
5 - the number of stations reporting at least 0.10" rain 15 or more days
32 - the number of stations reporting at least 100 F temp 15 or more days
