GNARLY!

*I'm* not a neo-maxi-zoom-dweebie, YOU'RE a neo-maxi-zoom-dweebie. Ah yes, the
1980s were such a simpler time, when "eat my shorts" would get you another month
in detention and the only phone you would carry around with you was attached to, at
most, a 10-foot curly-q cord. Will the coming few weeks be a simpler time for the
weather? Possibly, but define simple when it comes to Oklahoma weather. Here's
the deal, see? Watch for another scorching Monday and Tuesday (for most) then
another cold front later on Tuesday (NW OK might not be scorching), a few rain
chances with the front, then cooler for a few days, THEN another front for the
weekend and even better rain chances.

Oh yeah, and highs in the 1980s...I mean 80s!

Now as we get into the longer term periods, it does appear that we should see
cooler and wetter conditions a bit more often. So while it will still get hot,
we will possibly see a changeover from "scorching hot most of the time with
occasional cool fronts" to "milder most of the time with a few hot days."

Will this be the death of summer? I dare not say that...the JINX gods might
be listening. I think, if the outlooks continue to show that increased odds of
below normal temperatures and above normal precipitation to finish out August,
and they've been consistently showing this type of pattern for the last few
days, we might see a considerably more favorable second half of August than
the first half.

Now pardon me, but I'm off in search of some Grey Poupon.
