Nooooo eating in the car, kids

There are a select few nerds...I mean Oklahomans...who never really went anywhere on spring break except home. Budding staycationers, I guess. But hey, as I've always deluded...I mean said...a trip to Buffalo in March is better than a trip to Ft. Lauderdale (google it, kids). Invariably, I'd have one, maybe two good days of weather to go fishing at "the pond that used to be" before the bottom dropped out and it would either get cold, rainy, or both. And even a snowstorm or two.
This go-round, Oklahoma's starting with a very nice, if not windy, and warm day or two before we see out usual decline in temperatures, and then rain appearing in the forecast.
So enjoy today's 80s

because a bit of winter (late winter, mind you) is coming back for the weekend.

And don't forget the rain!

Now here's where we come off a bit whiny (okay, stop snickering). It's not like the 60s and few 70s the next few days won't be appreciated, even though they appear to come with lots of elevated fire danger. That's par for the course in mid-March. But man, those 80s sure look nice today.
So you stay-spring breakers, enjoy the next few days before the law firm of Gray, Drab and Dreary shows us this weekend. Hey, look at it this way...at least it won't be such a shock to the system to come back from some fabulous beach somewhere to a wet, cold homeland.
HA! Take that spring breakers, wherever you may be (as you read this when you get back).
