Make it better

September can't get here any sooner. No, literally...it's still 13 days away, and
there ain't no speeding it up. There also isn't any speeding it up, if you want to
get all proper English on me. But as I've said many times during this heat wave,
"HOT! OUCHIE!" And I've also said why worry about next week when we still have to
get through today? And then tomorrow. And then the rest of the week.

Heck, even our supposed "cooler weather" expected across the northern parts of
the northern half of the state later this week is still above normal, for
crying out loud!

You know when I break out the for crying out louds for heat, too, that I've
just about had it, because we're easily headed towards one of our hottest
Augusts on record if we don't turn things around. Heck...no, I've already gone
there. How about...shoot, our average high temperature statewide during August
thus far is 100.3F, for gosh sakes! And that doesn't look to be changing
anytime soon.

By the way, here are the historical record highs for today. The highest temp
ever recorded on an Aug. 18 in Oklahoma is 112F.

Just throwing that out there. No reason.
