KACHANG!!!




First off, "fixing to" (Okie to English translation: about to)...so just how much
rain does the WPC consider heavy?



Okay, maybe not THAT heavy by Oklahoma standards, but heavy during a drought
for sure. And of course and wherefore and whatnot and stuff, it still actually
has to rain...much like it did yesterday, at least in part smack dab in the middle
of some of the worst drought we've seen in years. And getting worse.







D4-Exceptional (there's really nothing exceptional about it...take that from
somebody wholly unexceptional) drought increased to 9.21% of the state, the
highest amount we've seen since May 9, 2023.

Now outside of those nice totals, ummmmmmm, totaled by the Mesonet sites, our
volunteer CoCoRaHS (Community Colloaborative Rain, Hail & Snow Network)
observers also got into the act with some even nicer totals.



So is this weekend our last chance? Well, not according to CPC, which shows
a possible continuing wet pattern as we get into later next week.



Things may be fixing to get very interesting!
