Cool, Cool Summer
There's nothing really good about August as a month, other than football starts
and the sound of cicadas (hey, Sound of Cicadas was my band's name at the Gotebo
Kiwanis Club!). It's sort of the January of summer. Blah, blah, blah. But not
THIS summer, of course, because Oklahoma. Another cool summer day, relatively
speaking, just like the NW corner of the state had yesterday.
There was also some rain, WHICH WE SAID WOULD BE SPOTTY AT BEST, WITH LOCALIZED
1-4 INCHES.
QUIT SHOUTING!
NO, YOU QUIT SHOUTING!
Oh yeah.
But that's exactly what we saw (although some of those spots without rain were
pretty darned big).
And add in the day before, and some folks got a lot, and a lot got none.
Rain? Heck, it's raining right now for crying out loud!
That image was current when I wrote this,
Forgive me if it goes astray.
But when I woke up this mornin'
Could've sworn it was a rainy day.
Whoa, sudden Prince attack. I hate when that happens.
Not much rain left to fall, but there's a bit there.
Then it gets hot again. And dry again.
It's August, it's expected (but not guaranteed!).
