Just another Mayhem Monday
Since this is the last time we'll get to Tock before the rain hits the fan on
Sunday, I thought I'd Tick some of the particulars so you can start getting ready.
If you're in a mood to put up Christmas decorations, I'd ask that you come put
mine up first, but get it done today or Saturday because you're (don't tell ME
how to spel!) experience will definitely go downhill if you wait too long after
that.
Here's the dealio...another huge storm taking aim on the Southern Plains, bringing
us flooding November rains, possible severe weather, and just general chaos and
mayhem (hey, "Chaos and Mayhem" was my death metal band's #1 hit back in 1993!).
We're talking 4-6 inches of rain along a stalled frontal boundary...PROBABLY
across west central Oklahoma, and possible tornadoes.
Stop me if you've heard this before.
Those severe probability maps are probably going to expand as more up-to-date
data comes in over the next 24-48 hours, so like we always say: "Gary is really
REALLY awesome." Well, *I* say it, but also "STAY WEATHER AWARE!"
Now why "Mayvember?" Because November is easily the wettest month of 2024. It's
already at 6.22 inches, and you add those bigtime rains on from early next week
and you're probably going to be pushing 7.5-8 inches. We've already obliterated
May's 5.6 inches as the previous wettest month.
Following the Chaos and Mayhem (COPYRIGHT), we will then get the winter. First
you get the chaos. Then you get the mayhem. Then you get the winter.
Then you get the power.
Still looking at highs in the 40s for an extended period of time, with wind
chills dipping as low as the teens and 20s. Possibly some snow in the area?
That's still a bit shaky. The cold weather is not...it's coming.
