Fallin' for you
I'm ready. You ready? We ready?
My AIR CONDITIONER is ready!
My ELECTRIC BILL is ready!
My TREES are ready!
It's time for fall to arrive and stay. I don't know how long this cool-down will
last, nor if I needed a hyphen there. That alone should give us all pause (if it
gave us paws, that's a whole other story...well arf arf to you, too!). But we do
know we're set for another 2-3 days, depending on where you live, of summer before
we see a true FALL cold front and a nice cool down (see?) for next week. Now this
cooldown (what the!) will even see lows approaching the 30s in the Panhandle early
next week!
Nice. But let's get through summer first, and the possibility of severe weather
tonight! Watch for storms to form up north and then approach the I-44 corridor
where they will hopefully knock anybody driving slow in the left lane back into
the right lane, but more importantly...give us some rain.
We definitely need the rain. Still not seeing a drought-ender in the 7-day
forecast. Quite a bit of rain after that period, but I shan't get hopes up
just yet.
The seasonal outlooks for the October-December 3-month period from CPC sure
aren't bullish on a cool-wet fall, nor much of a wet October!
Let me just say if you're starting out a possible dry and warm fall with THIS
amount and severity of drought in place...you might be asking for trouble.
There's always a hitch though, right? Maybe our hitch would be a gift from the
Tropics?
Does something wicked this way come? Fantasy-cast, but still...
