ExGasperated

Yes, "ExGasperated," for when "exasperated" just isn't enough. We will once again
have nearly a full week of summer, and I gotta tell ya (well, I don't HAVE to
tell ya...I mean, not lawfully), this whole State Fair deal is kind of a bust
this year. And while I don't think we're gonna replace any of the numbers on that
"highest heat index this summer' map above, we will have some pretty dicey heat
index values through the week, as well as just plain old hot weather regardless
of the humidity. At least relative to normal for mid-September. Then a cool
front on Friday that should cool us down closer to normal and maybe give us a
chance of rain.

So another steady warm up through the week, culminating on Thursday and Friday
(and we all know just how painful that can be...nobody likes to culminate) when
we will probably add to THIS map (number of days above 100 this year).

Oof, southwestern Oklahoma has greatly outperformed normal this year, which is
not good, and that's coming from someone that greatly UNDERperforms normal just
about every year.

Well, I guess a few more 100s can't hurt...doesn't mean we have to like it. At
least with all the humidity around, we should see some chances for rain on and
off through the week, but the best chances with that front over the weekend. Not
a drought-busting rain, sadly, but maybe some folks will get a good drink of
water.

Let's call it "The State Fair's Last Gasp."

It needs to hurry...I'm getting pretty exgasperated!
