It's over!

That's it, folks...we're calling it! Spring's over. Time of death...this coming
Wednesday. Okay, maybe we're a bit premature (and also immature), but that's okay.

It's called Climatoli...Climotolo...what normally happens with the weather this
time of year. Our rain chances, which looked so good early this week just a few
days ago, have done the old Texas Shuffle to the south, leaving most of the state
with little hope for rain over the next week or so, and maybe longer. That's okay
for now, what with wheat harvest in full swing, but...and that's a big but, some
places still haven't had their fill.

At any rate, we don't want summer to start on June 10, because that's a date that
will live in recent summer memory! Think back to June 10, 2022...the beginning
of the flash drought from hell, and also the worst summer heat we've seen since
2011.

We can sometimes rely on a wet July, like last year's which ended as one of the
wettest on record in Oklahoma--the latest in a spate of above-normal Julys over
the last couple of decades in Oklahoma.

That just means terrible heat indexes in August, usually.

No, YOU'RE Eeyore! I'm just a realist.

At any rate, part 2, enjoy another couple of days of actual spring before summer
sets back in.

But we'll still hold out hope for the rest of June and into July. Just remember,
we usually get the OTHER side of July.
