Beastie Rain
If you go into the doctor and say "It's not really the itching that bothers me,
it's the oozing," they're probably gonna say to celebrate your small victories. I
mean, we can all deal with a bit of oozing, right? Like me last night (no, no
oozing...that was last week), I wanted the rain, but I could have done without the
hail slapping my window for 15 minutes after midnight last night.
And this concludes another presentation of the Ticker GROSS Hour. Tune in tomorrow
when we talk about scaly skin and tornadoes.
But really, that's a lot of rain that fell last night. Heck, it's raining right
now for crying out loud!
And we have quite a few flood/flash flood advisories going on. And a flood watch.
Of course we need more across northern and western Oklahoma, but most folks have
gotten a decent dose over the last week or so.
And things have improved over the last 30 days or so. The departure and percent
of normal maps don't include rains that fell after midnight, so those will
improve even more in some areas.
And when we just look at the regions of the state, we see most are very much
in the wetter-than-normal category.
We have more chances for rain coming up, but unfortunately, at least looking at
today, the itching might come with some oozing.
That's big hail, big wind (Taco Bell style!), and maybe an isolated tornado or
two. Stay weather (and oozing) aware today. Might have to stay heat aware, too,
because it's gonna be a hot, sticky mess out there.
Again with the gross imagery??
