Until we meet again...this weekend

"Dear Winter Enthusiasts,

As I pen this note amidst the frost-kissed winds and snowflakes, it is with a
heavy layer of snow on my heart that I announce my decision to enter the Transfer
Portal. Old Man Winter, the white-bearded maestro of frosty symphonies, is
packing up his icicles and snow boots in pursuit of new adventures.

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to all the snowmen, snow angels, and
winter sports enthusiasts who have made this chilly journey memorable. Your
camaraderie has warmed my frosty bones and made each snowfall a celebration.

A special tip of the hat to Jack Frost, my steadfast companion in mischief, and
to all the blizzards that shook the landscape, leaving behind a pristine white
canvas for us to play on. Coach Winter Sports, thank you for coaching me in the
art of snowball fights and the perfect figure-eight on ice skates.

To the brave souls who dared to face the cold with me, bundled up in layers of
scarves and mittens, your resilience is admirable. And to the hot cocoa stands
and warm blankets, you've been the unsung heroes of this icy saga.

However, as the sun begins to thaw the frosty landscapes, I feel the call of
warmer horizons. The palm trees are beckoning, and I must heed their call. Fear
not, winter enthusiasts, for the memories of snowflakes dancing in the
moonlight will linger in the air.

Thank you for the frosty tales and the biting winds. Here's to a new chapter
filled with sun-soaked days, gentle breezes, and a temperature that doesn't
require three layers of thermal wear.

Farewell, frosty kingdom.

Old Man Winter."

Oh don't worry, you cold-loving hooligans. It'll be back, as early as this
weekend. But allow us cold haters to revel in the next few days, including today
and Friday.

Not bad, right? Well, the only problem will be the wind. Even though there
won't be a wind chill with these temperatures, winds gusting 25-35 and at times
over 40 mph will make it a bit less pleasant than it could have been, especially
on Thursday.

And with all that wind, and low RH here and there, we'll also see enhanced fire
danger.

Like I said though, winter will return shortly. Heck, it's cold right now for
crying out loud!

Saturday will be a nice "winter" day in the classic sense of the word with lots
of grey (English to Okie translation: gray) skies, some cold rain around, and
maybe even some snowflakes up in NW OK. And then just downright cold Sunday
morning.

The real winter action looks, uhhhhhh, actionable next week with another bout
of cold air later next week, and maybe some moisture. Snow, you say? Oh, *I*
said it? Well, that's fantasy-cast territory. But SOMETHING'S happening later
next week, starting about Wednesday. Stay tuned.
