Miracle

Hey, it was a marginal risk LAST night and here we are this morning with flash
flooding, over 10,000 electric customers without power, and stuff ("stuff," the
great non-wordsmith equalizer for when you run out of stuff [see!!] to say).
So again tonight expect another possible round of storms late tonight into the
overnight hours.

Rains were heavy at points to say the least, and if anybody should ever say the
least it's the Ticker. Sorry, radar overlays still not working...problem isn't on
our end (and if it was, we all know just how painful that can be).

Heck, it's raining right now for crying out loud!

We didn't see widespread severe winds on the Mesonet map, but there were still
some pretty hefty gusts. And lightning strikes probably helped up the power
outages.

As for temperatures, it was glorious for all but far southern OK, who had to
go spoil out attempts to go without a triple-digit temp on the Mesonet for
the first time in over 2 weeks! Activate Mesonet perturbed glare.

We'll have to see about today's forecast highs and just how much those storms
and the rain impact today's temperatures. But here is the official forecast.
No question for the far southern sections...it'll be hotter'n heck again today.
To the north of there...you have some hope.

Hope in August can fizzle pretty quickly, so enjoy it whilst you can!
