The Warming
I know, I know...this is the jinx of all jinxes, but for me (and myself and I),
I'm (and me'm and myself'm) hoping that's the end of the cool weather for this
spring. And summer. And most of fall. Call me a masochist (you've certainly called
me worse...don't lie!), but the I'm also hoping that we saw our final freeze of
the spring. Lake Carl Blackwell, you get to live in infamy if so!
We're right at that point where we'd expect our latest spring freeze to be, in all
probability, in the Panhandle region.
However, we turn to our friends in Canada to look at our chance for another spring
freeze in the next couple of weeks. AND THEY KNOW ABOUT FREEZES, HOSERS!
Good day, eh.
They basically show a 0% chance of a freeze through the 16th, which should just
about do it for the year. Keep in mind the white area is actually 0% up to 10%,
but the contour levels of the 10-20% level seem to be far enough away from the
state to suggest the chances are closer to 0% than 10%.
Not sure I've seen hedging like that since Homer disappeared. No, not that Homer.
THAT Homer.
It's a slow buildup to the heat, but spring has definitely sprung.
Spring has also sprung with the storm chances, as again we'll see a chance of
storms tonight, Wednesday, Thursday, and again on the weekend.
So stay weather aware, but probably no need to stay sweater aware.
FULL SPRING AHEAD!
