Your local rainfall dealer
Light rain during severe drought is like a guy going bald finding gray hairs...at
least there's still hair to turn gray! Yeah, I lobbed that one to ya, and I heard
what ya said. But at least it's rain, right? And in some cases, like over in the
area surrounding Okmulgee, that rain has amounted to more than an inch thus far.
But like the caption says, I will take full credit for said rain, not by any
scientific means but simply from the act of giving a drought talk here in just a
bit. The rain is still in short supply after today, at least for the next week.
And some of this being forecast is what's falling today.
Still seeing signs of cooler, wetter weather ahead for next week. Don't be alarmed
(or be really alarmed if you want it) about the temp outlook...that's not a sign
of a huge pool of Arctic air to our west, just cooler than normal in general. It
is January, however, so that definitely doesn't preclude snow.
Gotta go, but be sure to remember to tip your local implement and rainfall
dealer. Except no implements.
